  • So i’m about to order some Raws (var, cialis, winstrol etc) I just know the little scale that i use to measure my mk677 powder is not very sensitive and sometimes wont display a value (mg) till i get to around 20mg it’s the AWS Gemini which is popular on the 'zon. wondering if you guys use something more reliable

  • thanks so much for the info! and the raws i’m getting were from you haha

  • So I got the scale you posted in the first link and wow waaay better than what I was using. You da man. Now I can measure out this Var without doubting the scale.

I have one of these for the domestic raws. Biggest/best thing I did was invest in a quality set of calibration weights. I probably calibrate more than necessary but I don’t want to shaft someone on product due to a scale being off. The way I see it, as long as the calibration weight is accurate than the scale, in theory, should be able to be accurate. Just look for one that goes to three decimals if you’re only planning on weighing in the sub-20ish gram range.

We have a handful of scales that we use depending on what we’re doing. Brewing has a large scale since the batches are larger - only goes to one decimal place. Bagging raws for oils has a medium scale [two decimals] and the raws for orals has the smaller scale [three decimals].

Other things to consider that aren’t commonly mentioned with weighing - allow the scale to acclimate to your room temperature AFTER turning it on. Yes, it should be at room temp already but once it is on and the circuit boards warm, you might find that your zero walks a little bit into the negative or positive. Obviously, weigh somewhere that isn’t windy. Turn the ceiling fan off, breathe through your nose you fucking mouth breather, close the window, etc.

The AWS Gemini is still a good option - just pick up the smaller weight version of it.

That’s awesome man! Did it come with a calibration weight? If not, pick one up just for peace of mind.

yes it came with a 50g weight

Anyone have thoughts on the Zilink vs the AWS? I’ll get one of them, but am having trouble differentiating the two.

I’ve used both - The AWS was always my preferred for heavier weights. Zilink was great for the small shit.

Do you use the tin pan that comes with the AWS scale for measuring or do you use something else?

I’ve got some little rubber/silicone condiment bowls that I use. I just set them on there and tare the scale, do my thing, and then I can toss them in the sink and wash them when I’m done.

Okay thanks. Where do you draw the line to call something “heavier” or “small”? I’m going to be filling pills between 10-50 mg. Maybe 5 mg if I decide to cap my own Halo…

  • This thread is interesting as fuck. I’m getting an education from a real life drug dealer, free of charge! Thanks @“SouthernCompounding”

On a related note, do any of you guys have a recommendation for a halfway decent and reasonably affordable capping machine? There are so many to choose from on Amazon, and they all seem to have their quirks.

I don’t need anything fancy, just something that isn’t a piece of garbage.

Personally, I prefer the title of ‘Residential Pharmaceutical Salesperson’. Has a better ring to it. ;)

IMO - best buy on the market for small production and personal use. Customer service from the company is good as well. You can run it through the dishwasher when you’re done without hurting it also.

Interesting. I would have thought that someone in your line of work would use/suggest one of the capsule fillers that has a few more bells and whistles. Although after some googling it seems that the Cap-M-Quick is still the favorite of many with lots of experience capping their own products.

I like that they offer it in a bunch of sizes, as many of the other brands are only available in sizes #00 and #0. I definitely wasn’t looking forward to fucking with such large pills.

    Thanks for the help dude.

I assume you use the 00 capsules for it if you’re capping 10-50 mg?
